Application instructions for Dream Together Masters Program


Before going through the application instructions, please check out the blog post below about the required documents for the Dream Together Masters Program.

Once you have gone through the required documents, now it is time to carefully read the application instructions for Dream Together Masters Program:

[Form 1] Application Form

  • Ensure your name matches the name on your passport or official certificate of nationality.

[Form 2] Personal Statement & Study Plan

  • Personal Statement:
    • Opportunity to convey information about yourself and accomplishments not adequately expressed elsewhere.
    • Include background, academic achievements, extracurricular commitments, volunteer work, employment experience, reasons for applying to SNU and the Dream Together Master, and other relevant topics.
    • Limit: 4000 bytes, including spaces and line breaks.
  • Study Plan:
    • State academic goals and career aspirations.
    • Include questions to be answered through the program of study and/or timeline for meeting objectives.
    • Avoid detailed information about parents and relatives.

[Form 3] Recommendation Letters

  • Two letters required from different professors and/or professionals.
  • Complete your part, provide stamped and addressed envelopes to recommenders, who should seal and sign across the back.

Transcripts, Graduation Certificates, Degree Certificates

  • Provide records of courses and final grades from each institution attended.
  • Official transcripts issued directly by institutions.
  • Official evidence of degree conferrals with date (month and date).
  • For current enrollees, submit official document indicating expected graduation date.
  • Apostille or Authentication by Korean Embassy/Consulate required for graduation/degree certificates.

Certificate Providing English Proficiency

  • Submit a recognized English Proficiency Test score: TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS 6.0, TEPS 269 or higher (TOEFL ITP not acceptable).
  • Acceptable proof of language proficiency may include school profile/medium of instruction letter if fully taught in English, or English part from standard tests like SAT, GRE, etc.
  • Results taken on or after March 1, 2021, and available before the application deadline will be accepted.

University Transcript (for applicants from English-speaking countries)

  • Only for those who graduated (or expect to graduate) from a university in an English-speaking country.

Additional Materials

  • Most updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) required, including full name, address, contact number, schools attended, awards, work experience, sport-related work experience, etc.
  • If employed, submit a Certificate of Employment.

Supplementary Materials (Optional)

  • Academic awards, scholarships, proof of language proficiency (excluding Korean and English), certificates, and test reports (GRE, GMAT, etc.).

Explanatory Statement (if applicable)

  • Provide additional documentary evidence for eligibility for admissions if needed.
